Our First Holiday As A Family Of Four

If you've been wondering why things have been a little quiet on here recently it's because I've been away on holiday to Filey in Yorkshire and we couldn't have picked a better week to go as the weather was glorious!

We go to Filey every year as it's somewhere my husband has been holidaying his whole life and it holds many fond memories for him and will hopefully hold many for our family too.

Here's what we got up to during the week

We're lucky enough to be able to use my in-law's caravan when we go to Filey and we always stay on Filey Brigg Caravan Park because it's right next to the beach and within walking distance of Filey town centre. Also they have chickens and there are horses and cows in a field nearby which Riley loved to look at as we passed by.

We had a little picnic next to the caravan and then went to check out Filey Festival.

As the weather was super hot we spent the next day on the beach.

My husband wanted photographic evidence that Dad's carry everything lol

Riley got a pirate set, which he was very excited about and Summer got a little poodle soft toy.

We went to the park every single day.

We visited the Scarborough Sea Life Centre which was really fun as they have lots to look at and children get a little book that they have to stamp as they go along and then they get a medal at the end, Riley loved stamping his book.

We went to the arcades a few times because you just have to when you go to the seaside and Riley loved the 2p games.

We weren't allowed to take Macho in to the arcades but we managed to find a way around that lol.

We went crabbing on the brigg which has great rock pools when the tide is out.

On the last day we ate lots of ice cream, played crazy golf and had fish & chips from the best chip shop in the world, The Brown Rooms.

We had an amazing week and can honestly say we didn't want to come home, oh well there's always next year to look forward to!
