My husbands Aunt and Uncle live in New Milton which is near Bournemouth and as they haven't seen our newest addition baby Summer yet we thought we'd take a trip down to see them and have a holiday at the same time. Joining us on our holiday was my step daughter Natalie, Ian's parents and our nephew Alex.
There's plenty of room in Ian's Aunt's house but we thought it would be easier if the four of us plus Macho stayed in the caravan on a nearby site. The site we chose was called Bunny Creek, we'd never stayed there before but it was so lovely, it was only small (about 10 caravans) and it was very secure so you could let your children play outside without having to worry about them leaving your sight, it was surrounded by fields with horses in and just had a very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere to it. We loved it there and will definitely be using the site again for future visits.
We had lots of fun on Mudeford Beach paddling in the sea and eating ice creams.
We went to Bournemouth a couple of times as the sea front area is so lovely there, everything is so clean and new looking and the beach is lovely. I love the super cute beach huts and Riley loved the arcades, the only downside was that the car parking was really expensive.
We visited Christchurch a couple of times which is really nice and on one of our visits we decided to have a go at painting some pottery at The Clay Studio which is a lovely cafe where you can paint all sorts of different pottery pieces which make lovely personal souvenirs from your holiday. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
On the last day of our holiday we went to Moors Valley Country Park & Forest which is fab for walking, cycling or if you've got kids there's lots of wooden forts, climbing frames and parks to play on, all hidden away in the forest. There's also Go Ape for older kids and adults and there's a little train ride which Riley loved, I'd definitely recommend visiting Moors Valley if you've got kids as Riley, Natalie and Alex loved it!
We had such a good week, hope you enjoyed seeing what we got up to.
Let me know if you've been to any of these places and what you think of them.
