We got back from our holiday in Tunisia just in time for the bank holiday weekend, unfortunately it was raining pretty much the whole weekend but we did manage to get out for a little while between showers. We were actually very excited to go out as we had been asked to try the new SKODA Superb over the weekend and see how well it performed as a family car.
The first thing I noticed about the car was that it looked really stylish yet really practical as a family car, I loved the colour as white looks so fresh and is a very popular colour at the moment.
My husband was blown away by the boot which has a twindoor, this means that the boot opens as a saloon or a hatch with just the touch of a button, something that is so handy when loading large items like pushchairs in and out and to top it all off the boot is massive.
The interior of the SKODA Superb was absolutely perfect for a family car, there was loads of leg room in the front and back and even after my husband, who is tall, had pushed his seat right back there was still lots of leg room for the kids and plenty of space for someone to sit between the car seats in the back. This is something we struggle with in my husband's current car which is a BMW, there just isn't enough leg room in the back so the SKODA felt like luxury.
The Superb had some really useful gadgets like built in sat nav and cruise control but my favourite little feature was the umbrella compartment in one of the rear doors, it's such a good idea if you get caught out without an umbrella and such a good use of storage space.
We had a lovely drive out to go and feed the ducks and the ride was very smooth and comfortable, the kids were so excited to be going out in a new car and they loved the extra space.
Overall we were really impressed by the SKODA Superb, it had everything you need in a family car and more and will definitely be a contender when we come to buying a new car in the future.
