Fun With Dennis The Menace At Brewers Fayre Castlewood

We were recently invited to the VIP opening of the new and improved Beano themed play area at Brewers Fayre Castlewood, it's somewhere we'd never been before so we were keen to take the kids to play and have some yummy food.

The soft play area was brilliant, it was just the right size and had an amazing slide which both of the kids loved. My son Riley who is 4 will only usually go into the soft play area with either me or my husband or his cousins, never alone but this one he had no problem venturing off on his own and going down the slide, which we were really surprised by. I think it was because it's not too big and scary and the slide was so much fun he didn't care about being on his own in there.

There is a tv area and an art table so the kids can do some colouring or just chill out on bean bags and watch cartoons.

Also there was a snack bar with lots of tasty options and lots of tables and chairs so adults could sit comfortably while their children played.

There is a smaller soft play area for babies and younger children and the kids loved dragging Daddy in there and burying him under the foam blocks.

And there we a couple of Cozy Coupe's for the kids to play in too, Summer enjoyed trundling around in these.

The conclusion was that the new play area was a big hit, we even got to meet Dennis The Menace!

Next it was onto the food, I thought the prices were quite reasonable at around £8-£9 for a main and about £4 for a dessert. The kids meals were £3.99 for one course, £4.49 for 2 courses and £4.99 for 3 courses which was great value for money.

I had the Fish and Chips with garden peas and it was lovely although the fish was a little dry, Ian had the Smothered Chicken which he really enjoyed and both of the kids had Popin' Chicken which usually comes with baked beans but my kids don't like them. We all enjoyed our food and couldn't wait for dessert.

For dessert I chose Lemon Cheesecake which was delicious, Ian had the Caramel Apple Betty and he loved it and the kids had Ice Cream which went down really well with both of them.

We had a great time at Brewers Fayre Castlewood and will definately go back now that we know it's there, if you have children and struggle to eat out then this is the place for you, happy kids plus great food equals happy parents.

We were given our meals free of charge but all thoughts and opinions are 100% honest and my own.
