Living Room Decor Ideas

We're planning on doing a lot of decorating in our house over the next year, walls are coming down an extension is going up and the whole ground floor will be changing. I love home decor and I've been spending hours browsing Pinterest looking for inspiration and ideas, I've found some items that I really love for our living room and I thought I'd share them with you.

As you can see I have a slight obsession with the colour grey at the moment, it's just such a neutral colour and it seems to go with everything, I love it.

I love the style of the sofa, it looks stylish yet still comfortable and I think the grey and turquoise chevron cushion would add a nice splash of colour.

We desperately need a new tv, at the moment we don't even have a flat screen in our living room which is pretty shameful. I love the look of this Panasonic TV, it's really nice and slim and I like the stand as it's subtle and would look great on the tv unit that we've chosen which is yep you've guessed it grey but it has an oak top which I think adds some warmth to the room.

We love having a fireplace but we never have the fire on so we thought an electric wood burner effect fire would be best for us, that way we have the look and feel of a real wood burning stove without the hassle of actually maintaining a fire.

Lastly I thought the knitted pouf and the chalk board picture would finish the room off nicely and give it a homely, cosy feel.

I hope this has given you some inspiration if you're thinking of decorating your living room, for more home decor ideas check out my Pinterest account.

  2. Love the coloured buttons on the sofa back — they really lift it and make it so pretty! We've got a lot of grey in our home too. Such a great neutral — some lovely picks here :) #ShareWithMe

  3. Ooh I love these pieces, these are very much my style, loving grey at the moment. How exciting is decorating, especially if you're re-modelling, sounds great. We're hoping to move soon, so I'm having to make do with what we've got at the moment (which is no space at all!!) so I'm trying to 'update' on a budget, love the pouf, the cushion cover and the frame these are probably in my price range at the moment. Would love the sofa too. Actually, all of it! Ha

The TV Stand has to be my favourite there!

I need to finish decorating my living room but stuck on a colour theme.

  9. Love it! Our sofa is grey too, in fact our home is mostly grey, black, white and cobalt blue. So I love everything that you have chosen. I would also like to get an electric fireplace or gas, sleek and stainless steel. I can't wait to see the room when it's done!
