We've had Netflix for a couple of months now and I have to say we're really loving it, especially the kids who quickly learnt to use it themselves and love scrolling through and choosing from the hundreds of children's films and tv shows available and because the kids each have their own profile we don't have to worry about them watching any adult shows by accident as only shows suitable for children are available on their profiles.
Summer's favourite show at the moment is the brilliant Peg + Cat, a charming little show featuring an adorable young girl called Peg and her beloved Cat as they solve problems using foundational math concepts. As well as helping to teach children to count and solve simple math problems it also features a variety of fun songs which Summer loves to dance and sing along to. It's a really lovely show and my son Riley loves it too, if you have Netflix and young children you must give this show a try.
Riley's favourite tv show on Netflix at the minute is Wild Kratts which follows the adventures of brothers Chris and Martin Kratt as they encounter wild animals during stories of mystery and adventure. As well as being highly entertaining this show is also really educational and teaches kids some interesting facts about animals which is right up Riley's street, he loves to learn facts and retains the information really well as it's something he's very interested in. If you have young boys then they will love the Wild Kratts, even my husband loves it lol.
As for me and my husband, we've been revisiting our love for Prison Break which we originally started watching way back in 2009 but we only got as far as season one so when we noticed that Netflix had all four seasons we knew we had to continue watching it as we loved it. The story follows lead character Michael Scofield as he hatches an amazing plan to break his brother out of prison where he has been sentenced to the death penalty for a crime he did not commit. We've just finished season two and are still hooked and we're really excited to find out what season three has to offer.
